Trade: Mark Hoyle (1973)

I was Hoyled again!  This time with a 1973 theme.  Mark and I make a nice match because I need vintage and he needs modern releases.  If I'm counting right this marks my 6th trade with Mark!

I like the little tidbits on the back of the 73's.  Richie Hebner was a scholastic All American hockey player and Gene Clines collects records.  These cards packed a lot of info in a short amount of space.

Always nice to see a Steve Blass card.  I've met him a few times and he is always super nice.  I just wish that he would be replaced on the tv broadcasts. He rarely brings anything of substance to the broadcast.  The play by play guys really have to carry most of the load when he is the booth. Thankfully he only does home games.

Mark also threw in a few surprises to go along with the awesome vintage.

Lloyd McClendon and Andy Van Slyke have spent a lot of time together.  They played together for the Pirates for a number of years.  Then they were both on Jim Leyand's managerial staff with the Tigers.  Today Lloyd manages the Mariners and Andy coaches first.

I'm digging the Score Kendall draft pick card.

As always Mark thanks a ton for all the great cards.  I think I could probably fill an entire album just with cards you sent my way.  I'll be getting your next mailer out shortly.

Thanks for reading!
