Winter meetings week is always one of my favorite weeks of the baseball off season. To me, it sort of serves as the official opening to the baseball free agency season, and it's the time when I start really thinking about next season. This is a Miguel Montero printing plate from 2013 Gypsy Queen. I was pretty excited when I pulled this because, not only is it a 1/1 item, but it's also just a cool conversation piece. It is one of the "Collisions at the Plate" set inserts, which makes for a neat picture.
Anyone else out there ever pull a printing plate? Thanks for checking out the blog today!
I've pulled a few printing plates. One was a Homer Bailey plate from 2013 Topps Archives, and most of the rest have been from boxes of 2013 and 2014 Topps Mini Baseball.
ReplyDeleteI pulled two printing plates when I broke a case of 2013 Topps Series 2 earlier this year. In fact, one of those plates -- a Jeff Locke -- ended up in Matt's hands.
ReplyDeleteThe only plate i've ever pulled was from 2011 Chrome, Adam Dunn heritage chrome black plate, still have it!
