Trade: Highly Subjective and Completely Arbitrary

Another new trade partner! Brian from the new blog Highly Subjective and Completely Arbitrary and I hashed out a semi blind trade very quickly. It's really exciting that Brian is a Twins fan because I'm sure the blogosphere as a whole have been accumulating stacks.

For our trade Brian wanted to send me some cards first to get the ball rolling. He did not disappoint. Check it out.

Former fan favorite Freddy Sanchez. This is a really nice low numbered jersey from UD Spectrum. I always say that Jason Bay is probably the most represented person in my collection, but Freddy is no stranger. I'm guessing he cracks the top 5.

One of the better names in baseball. Gorkys was a former high end prospect for the Tigers and Braves. When the Pirates traded Nate Mclouth to Atlanta, Gorkys came to the Buccos along with Charlie Morton and Jeff Locke. Unfortunately the bat never came around and he was shipped off to the Marlins in the Gaby Sanchez deal.

The Pirates actually just got Gorkys back on a minor league deal this offseason!  The legend continues.
 Bob Walk tax was paid.
 1954 Topps!
The gold version /2015 of the Pirates shortstop.
 Rainbow parallel of Marte.
A nice mix of Topps traded! I love this set....especially the Spanky Lavalliere and Van Slyke.
Nice mix of Heritage Flashbacks including top Pirate prospect Tyler Glasnow in his WV Power uniform.

Brian was nice enough to hook me up with a few of my Stadium Club set needs.

Thanks for the great trade Brian.  Now it is my turn to hook you up with some Twins. Do yourself a favor and give Brian a follow and give him all your Twins!

Thanks for reading!

  4. Looks like you did pretty well Matt. I am still bitter over Van Slyke leaving the STL. :)
