Cole Train

Over the last few months I've been able to find some decent deals on Gerrit Cole cards.  Here is my latest purchase.
2013 Topps Chasing History Parallel /10

This ran me $30 shipped which is not bad considering this is such a low numbered auto.  Cole so far in his young career has been as advertised and so far this season has been the lone bright spot in the Bucco rotation. The sky is the limit for Cole as he has the potential to develop into a top of the rotation pitcher.

Big game tonight for the Pirates as they look to win the series against the Dodgers.  It won't be easy as Greinke is the on the mound tonight.  Let's go Bucs!

  1. Nice card. I didn't know they made gold parallel autos.

    1. Yeah. I've only seen one other Cole like this and it went for a lot more money. It is hard to find great deals for him since he was the #1 overall pick, but ebay has been overrun by autos recently as Cole must have signed for Topps and they were able to fill the redemptions.

  2. Nice autograph. Lots of good pitching matchups today... including this game.

    1. I was happy we were able to pull that game out last night. It was the first series the Pirates have won in LA since 2006.

  3. Wow, nice auto! I'm so glad he didn't sign with the Yankees in 2008, I think he'll be good for the Bucs for years to come, so good idea getting something so rare of his now.

    1. Thanks Dennis! I actively search for Cole more than any other Pirate right now. I know prices won't stay reasonable forever.
