2010 Bowman Jameson Taillon Gold Rookie /50
Not this one....
Prices on Taillon cards are still relatively cheap so I've been trying to add a few higher end cards the past couple of months. Normally if I don't get the Chrome autos or parallels early the prices get too high. For whatever reason the market cooled on Taillon and now I have this nice new Chrome gold parallel for the collection. I think the final price was right around $10 maybe a shade more.
It has been kind of fun watching the Pirates play themselves back to relevancy the last month or so. Thankful the Cubs and Brewers have opened the door a little for the Cards and Pirates to be within striking distance. No matter what happens I should at least get another month of meaningful baseball.
Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteHis cards are really cheap. I've been adding a good amount lately. His Panini autos are especially cheap.
DeleteI agree, watching the Bucs fight to get back to .500 has been fun. We're lucky with the weak Central this year that getting to .500 puts them in contention for the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteI think they've finally played themselves out of contention now, but it was fun while it lasted. They just have too many teams to jump. When you need three teams in front of you to lose it becomes super hard to gain momentum.
DeleteNice parallel... I like when the border changes color rather than the weird triangular pieces that 2017 has brought us.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteNot holding the my breath the Cubs will fold-they at least own the Redbirds
ReplyDeleteEveryone keeps waiting for the Cubs to take some huge step, but between bad pitching and overall health I'm not sure if they will. They still have way more talent than any other team in the division so that might be enough to do it anyway.
DeleteDrinking at such a tender age. Must be a Tigers' Fan.
ReplyDeleteor pays too much attention to our current political landscape.....
DeleteI remember when this was a $100 card. Prospecting sure can be fun...
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. I usually stand by a $20 rule with Bowman cards. That way if it goes bad you are not out that much money.
DeleteBetween, getting his autograph earlier this year and becoming a testicular cancer survivor, Taillon has become one of those players I especially root for. I hope he has a long and healthy career.
ReplyDeleteHe has had enough bad luck to fill multiple careers. He deserves a nice healthy stretch.
