/Sara McLachlan plays in the background.....
I really punished myself with this purchase. I'm pretty deep in terms of collecting anything Pirate related that comes out of the Topps Now sets. I made my bed when I purchased cards of Pirate players that participated in the World Baseball Classic. Guess I felt I was pot committed with the Cutch and Cole
The NOW program is very polarizing in our community, but I look forward to every year. This year should be fun in that the Pirates could have several top prospects make their MLB debut. Usually this generates a fun rookie card to chase. Hopefully I won't be buying any more TRADED cards before the season starts.
On a much happier note I was able to spend a couple hours scanning cards today. I'm officially caught up on all trade packages that came my way. If you haven't seen a post featuring cards you sent my way it will be going live sometime this week.
Thanks for reading!
We are just entering the season and I'm already tired of NOW Ohtani. For me, any NOW this year will revolve around Altuve I think. At least NOW has a more attractive design. Hope you find an abundance of good Buc rookies!
ReplyDeleteI like that the NOW design continues to evolve for the better. Year 1 was kind of blah, year 2 added the chrome look and from what I can see year 3 looks fantastic.
DeleteYou are certainly a completist-or a glutton for punishment. Maybe both. But kudos to you for purchasing these.
ReplyDeleteKind of serves as a de facto ending point of seeing new Pirate releases for those guys.
Delete(thinks about Sarah McLachlin instead of traded Buccos)
ReplyDeleteCue happy music. :D
Ha!
DeleteShouldn't that be an '18 in the top right hand corner?
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing
DeleteI couldn't pull the trigger on Traded Topps NOW of Justin Verlanderlast year. Maybe after the season starts Ill find onevon ebay.
ReplyDeleteIf you have patience some of these end super cheap via auction
DeleteOof. Sad!
ReplyDeletepour one out
DeleteShame they didn't make a Now card of Cutch impersonating Hunter Pence.
ReplyDeleteI'm still pissed they didn't make one for Trevor Williams 1st win giving the game ball to his dad in 2016. That was such a great moment.
Yeah, that is the only one I feel they truly missed considering the publicity that moment got. They were also pretty inconsistent year 1 on the Walk off cards. Now they pretty much just make one for every one.
