My arch rival JBF is going into trading retirement in the near future. In typical JBF fashion he decided to go out with a bang by bringing back the World Cup of Trading. The whole idea is that Wes posts a bunch of cards that we can claim. Based on those claims we send Wes a return package full of cards that better fit his collection. I'm hoping to defend my 2014 championship. I know your jealous of that trophy.
Since I think Wes has already traded me every Pirate card in Alabama the WCOT was void of Buccos. What it did have though was some exciting hockey cards. I don't actively buy hockey, but like to trade for them when I get a chance. I claimed three Pens cards from Wes. Of course he threw in a ton of extras as well.
This was the big card I claimed. I don't have many Crosby cards so this was a nice get.
Bad scan, but a cool card of super Mario
Cup Winners!
I love this Pops card.
Now we mean business.
I don't think I've ever seen the /10 parallel autos from Turkey Red. Very nice low print run of the former Mountaineer.
More Pops
More Stedman!
Goodwin Champions always cracks me up. These Crosby cards are kind of weird, but not as bad as some other Goodwin cards. Take a look at the Pete Rose cards if you get a chance.....yikes.
The Gold Medallion Hermansen is just fantastic.
Not all Goodwin's are bad. The Geno Smith is a cool card. A nice collection of former Mountaineers.
SLASH!!!!
I think I pretty much super collect the Pirate Parrot. I love mascot cards.
I didn't even notice the serial number until I scanned this card. Nice addition to my modest Steelers collection.
Thanks for hosting the second World Cup of Trading Wes. I know this has to be a lot of work. As always your generosity knows no bounds.
Thanks for reading.

World Cup of Trading Part 4 (The Big Finish)
We have reached the end. I've saved all the Pirate hits for this post along with the big item. Who would have thought you could turn a bunch of Josh Willingham autos into a mountain of cardboard. Wes I can't thank you enough for all the great cards. As a thank you I will have some cards coming your way soon. Let the hits begin....
Pirate management once got on Craig Wilson for drinking too much Pepsi. God our management team was horrible in the early to mid 2000's
Tony Womack was one of my favorites.
A scout once raved that Chad Hermansen could walk on water. He could not hit a baseball. He flamed out quickly in the pros.
Wouldn't surprise me if Wyatt Wathisen is traded. He has already been passed by Reese McGuire.
A picher batting! Justin Wilson was just traded to the Yankees for Francisco Cervelli. Probably a good deal for both teams as the Yankees get a left handed reliever with a great arm and the Pirates addressed their cloudy catching situation. Come on Russell Martin, just resign with us...Please....
Love the Kiner!
The original Frank Thomas. I've seen several autographs in which Frank will inscribe "original" on the card.
Sexy Auto!
Even Sexier Auto!
The Grand Prize......
The first three cards are all numbered to 5! I love the Van Robays cards. He is credited with naming the Eephus pitch.
The old Leaf Signature cards were perfect in their simplicity. Nothing flashy, just nice autos.

Kevin Hart was supposed the be the centerpiece in the Tom Gorzelanny trade. Turns out the throw in piece was the keeper. Josh Harrison has turned himself into quite a player.

The Grand Prize......
That is a game used bat of former Bucco catcher Jason Jaramillo! What a cool prize. I couldn't believe it when I opened the box. You are the man Wes!
To wrap things up all I can say is Wow. You really brought it big time. I've had a blast going through all the cards and appreciate how you customized the prize to fit all my different collections. Once I get a display the bat will be mounted on my basement wall. You are truly one of a kind my friend.
Have a great weekend!
