Trade: The Card Papoy

Kevin and I are not letting an ocean or shipping rates slow us down from trading. I believe this marks the 4th package from France since the end of October. It has been fun trying to find creative packages to keep things interesting. We have covered all aspects of cardboard from vintage, oddballs, relics and autos. Even some supplies have changed hands.

One of the neatest aspects of our continuous trading is our constant exchange of emails talking about the hobby. It has been fun getting to know Kevin and running ideas about the hobby back and forth. Let's check out the latest cards from our favorite French blogger.

Kevin's calling card is the Biebs. Maybe Kevin is actually Justin Bieber and he just sends cards of himself to everybody. It all makes sense now. Bieber is Canadian so he probably would like the Blue Jays. Detective Bob Walk is on the case.

One of the early pioneers of modern relief pitching. He actually became a carpenter when he retired from baseball.

The Candy Man! I love these buyback autos. I've showcased a few on the blog over the last few months and I'm thirsty to add more to my collection.  These are a great way to get around the licensing issues.

Part of me dies when I see Aramis Ramirez. The Pirates have come so far since they made the worst trade in franchise history dealing Ramirez to the Cubs. With that being said I love adding cards of his. This was actually one I didn't have so that was really cool! Have to remember the bad times to appreciate the good times.

I don't hide the fact I love Jason Bay. He is mentioned more than any other Pirate I collect. This is a beautiful Sweet Spot Signtures in which the auto has held up pretty well. Kevin and I have both sent a Sweet Spot in a trade to each other.

More vintage Buccos! Kevin as usual always has a well rounded assortment of cards.

I love 93 Ultra.  One of my favorite sets growing up and one that I kind of want to revisit. Always had some great shots.

As always thanks for the cards Kevin (Justin).  My return shot is already in the mail. It is not as well rounded as yours, but I think you will like it.

Thanks for reading and go trade with the Card Papoy!

    1. It exists! One of the earlier installments of the Donruss buyback sets had one in the mid 2000s.

  3. I never know what you already have or don't have, so I hope that some of those, you needed for your collection ! (I know you already had the Candelaria, and it's safe to say you already had the Jason Bay also). At least, I know you don't have the Bieber !

  4. Detective Scott, I do believe you've blown his cover! Trading with that Fench Guy is worth the postage, and actually seems to be cheaper than shipping to Canada! The Bieb sent some really nice cards! I'll have another full batch for you soon Matt!
