I love seeing non star players get some cardboard love. Usually when this happens I'm likely going to be thanking Panini. They shine when it comes to checklist variety when compared to Topps.
2017 National Treasures Don Hoak bat relic /10
I believe this is Don Hoak's first solo relic. He was part of some triple relics in last years National Treasures set. As soon as I saw this card I knew I had to have it. I paid $4.50 for the card and utilized the sellers combined shipping to pick up a few other Pirate cards.
Hoak was on the 1960 World Series winning team. He also is remembered for committing the error that ruined Harvey Haddix's perfect game in what was considered the best pitched game ever.

Very cool! Definitely a guy you don't ever see on hits like this.ReplyDelete
I was excited to see him included in a stand alone relicDelete
good looking card and a nice price too.ReplyDelete
Not many Don Hoak super collectors out there!Delete
Yes, I love cards like this. Yet another reason Panini should be given an MLB license.ReplyDelete
Give one to Upper Deck too!Delete
Yep recently the companies are getting those long lost players no one really cares about but are still alive to sign stuff so they can add them into there throwback sets or archive sets. Not sure how I feel about hitting a auto of a no name from the past.....lolReplyDelete
Probably not the hit you want when buying this product. Thank God for eBay!Delete
