Box Break: 2009 Topps 206

It was time for our monthly box break again.  This time around I went bargain shopping and got a good price on 2009 Topps 206.  We had a good time busting it, with my box and Keith's (The Home Run Apple) being above average.  My buddy Micah's box was a little rough, but he was the big winner of our first handful of breaks so the law of averages are finally working things out.  Here are the better hits from the box....
 Short print minis
 Dan Haren mini /99
 James Loney Jersey
 McCutchen rookie!
 George Sisler silk /50
Small sample of the gold cards
Jonathan Papelbon Auto

As you can no crazy big hit, but the box was really balanced.  Broke the odds by pulling the silk card so I was pretty excited.  It was a fun break for around $45 a box.  You are guaranteed two hits, and lots of mini and gold cards.  Other than the Cutch I'm willing to trade anything you see.  Just shoot me a message.

Happy Memorial Day.

  1. Fun break! Will you please set that Sisler aside for me? I see your luck with boxes continued as usual.

    1. The Sisler is yours Dennis! We pick boxes that are cheap so not matter what everybody stays in a good mood. We try to keep it around the $45 to 65 range. Hope to get some mail out to you soon that will include the Sisler!

  2. I've been meaning to open a box of this stuff forever but never got around to it. Nice break though, if you pulled any minis of the Yankees I'd love a shot at them.

  3. Nice box. I bought a box last year during the Black Friday deals and had a blast busting it. Congratulations on pulling a Cutch rookie card.

    1. Thanks Fuji! We had a good time opening. Like I was telling Dennis above it is a guilt free open. Low cost with the potential of a huge hit. The extra bonus was that Cutch had a rookie card in the set.
