Minor rant....
I find myself getting more and more tired of the in game experience at college football games. There is nothing worse than having some drunk idiot screaming his lungs out about play calling and screaming "Tackle" at the top of his lungs on every defensive play. The crazy thing about it is this game was never really in question and our quarterback only threw a handful of incomplete passes. My favorite moment was at the end of the game when we were running the ball to eat clock and "drunk coach" wanted us to throw the ball. We ended up running again and scored a touchdown. He almost acted dejected that we scored. No reasoning with drunk idiots.
2009 Exquisite Collection Pat White Quad Patch /35
Last week I had another drunk idiot behind me who couldn't let go of the fact that Pat White is no longer our quarterback. WVU is running a good bit of read option this year with our new quarterback to a decent amount of success so far. Obviously drunk idiot wasn't impressed as he would say "Pat White could do it better" after every run. Ugh....
What better way to introduce my newest Pat White card! This card is very colorful. One thing about the Dolphins is that their jerseys can make some sweet relics. I don't quite recall the price of this card, but I think it was around $10-15. White was a bust in the NFL, but his cards still sell well on the secondary market because of his college success.
Thanks for reading. I'm sure Pat White could have wrote a better post......
Sports fans are the worst.
ReplyDeleteAlthough that card is nice :).
They can really spoil a nice day that is for sure.
DeleteHey I think I sat behind the same guy at the Gators game last night!
ReplyDeleteHa....I think that guy goes to every big time Division 1 game.
DeleteDon't have much to say about College Football, the school I went to had a team, but it was in a small Minnesota only Division III conference. Every 10 years or so, the Gophers have a decent run but it's never that interesting to me since I didn't attend the U.
ReplyDeleteI would think it is a bit of a stretch to call that dude a "Sports fan," but yeah those guys are the worst.
The asshole trickle effect goes all the way down to little league baseball. I'm sure Division III has its fair share.
DeleteAnd If you ever try to take It into your own hands by telling him to calm down, forget about it ,lol. That's when all hell breaks loose.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be careful. College football is the worst because the crowds are so big so staff is limited. Most of the monitoring seems to be on the student side. Usually it takes some older fans to shame the guy that he is being way too animated.
DeleteLol. It's happens to almost every sporting event I attend. Sometimes it can be entertaining... but most of the time it's obnoxious and annoying.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen too much of it at PNC park. As long as alcohol is being served you will have issues, but football seems to take the cake as the worst.
DeleteYou see, at Georgia, the stadium has a capacity for 92,000. Of them, there are 90,000 offensive coordinators and 6,000 sorority girls. In other words, 4,000 of UGA's sorority girls also know how to call offensive plays for football....in their mind, at least.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I had my first "Dammit, Schottenheimer" moment yesterday watching some unimaginative play calling against Vanderbilt. I hope it was just being vanilla knowing that UGA could beat Vandy while being vanilla....I hope.
My favorite "offensive coordinator" fan is the ones who turnaround to the press box where the coordinator is located to direct their screams.
DeleteThe thing is it is perfectly fine to get pissed off and voice displeasure of play calling. It just seems that every section has the one guy to take it over the top.
