Checking off Fenway

My wife and I are heading to Boston tomorrow for a long weekend getaway. This trip came together pretty fast.  We were sitting down looking at our schedule this summer and realized if we don't do something this weekend our next chance would be September.  Between work obligations, weddings and child care we had a lot of moving parts.

While Boston is not the most economical choice it was the closest metro area that we wanted to explore. Lucky for me the Red Sox are playing the Blue Jays so I grabbed a couple tickets for Sunday's game.  My wife is by no means a baseball fan, but she appreciates history of the stadium so she'll be tagging along.

Other than the game we are keeping things pretty open. The weather is going to be a little bit on the rainy side so we'll just plan out our day in the morning and adjust with the weather. First drop of rain ='s bar!

Anybody have any good recommendations?

Here is my main Red Sox card with a Pirates connection.

Have a nice weekend.

  1. No recommendations as my brother hasn't lived in Boston for over 15 years.

Driving in Boston isn't fun, I'm guessing you know that. When I've gone, my brother drove or I took the "T", the subway, which is quite handy.

There is a LOT to do there and games at Fenway are tremendous, one of the best parks ever. Boston is a favorite.

    1. I'm secretely hoping Matt will have a sign with my name on it, as he knows I'll definitely be watching the game.I'm pretty sure he'll also have a T shirt with Bautista's head on it inside a big heart.

    1. It was a great game. I was rooting for all the former Pirates on the Blue Jays so it was nice to see them pull it out. Former Buccos Russell Martin and Joey Bats each hit one.
