Trade: A Cracked Bat

By now most people know I love to trade. Trading was the reason I started Bob Walk the Plank and it is what I enjoy most about the blogging experience. Everyone treated me so well when I started that I vowed I would do the same to newer bloggers once I got established.  In the past few weeks I've established numerous new trading partners which includes Julie from A Cracked Bat.  I contacted Julie to let her know I had a few Tiger cards to send her way.  Julie returned the favor and sent some Buccos my way.
BOB WALK!
A nice purple refractor of Francisco Liriano.  What a deal that contract turned out to be.  The Pirates seem to have the touch of revitalizing careers of broken down pitchers.  I'm guessing Liriano will take his new found value and turn it into a lucrative long term deal.
This is my first taste of the base cards of the 2014 version of Triple Threads.  Julie was nice enough to pass a few of the parallels my way /250
I forgot how patriotic 2002 Donruss Studio was.  AMERICA!!!
Some unlicensed Bucco goodness.  They need good homes too!
Seeing cards from this era sends chills down my spine.  The lack of a good player development system led the Pirates to draft players like Bobby Bradley and JJ Davis.  Both turned out to be huge busts.  Seeing these make you appreciate what the Pirates have done in the past few years.
Awesome looking new Cutch for my collection.
The standard version of the Pedro.

I saved the best for last.  I'm a huge Gerrit Cole fan so I'm always excited to add new cards, especially from one of my favorite sets.

Thanks for all the great cards Julie.  I look forward to swapping more cards down the road.  If you haven't already put Julie's blog on your read list.

  1. She's becoming quite the active trader! I recently saw a post from $30 a Week Habit, and I just put one up myself.

    1. More people to trade with is always a good thing. Hopefully you will be getting my package sometime early next week. What is the usual turnaround for a package heading to France. Seems like it takes about ten days when I ship something to the Dutch Card Guy.

  4. Matthew, thanks for the warm welcome! I truly appreciate the shout out to my little splinter of a blog. As time allows, I'll begin posting more often. I love the baseball education I'm receiving too!
