Today I've been sorting the baseball portion to wrap up JBF appreciation this coming week. I'm really looking forward to showing off JBF's madness. The man from Hazel Green is sooooo generous. Crazy stuff coming. Big thanks to everyone who has been viewing these posts. I plan on rewarding some people as things come to a close.
This final installment of Steelers is very "hit" oriented. Many big names both old and new were sent my way. Buckle in and enjoy!
This was a very unique Bus patch!
This was a cool surprise. Before blogging my Big Ben collection was a little on the light side. Post Wes trading it is now legit.
Just Wes sending a plate of former Steelers back up quarterback Omar Jacobs.
More Prime Signatures, which is a very good thing. Absolutely love this set.
Fullback relic!
Low numbered Hines Ward cards are always welcomed.
Wes has sent me a ton of nice cards of current Steelers tight end Jesse James.
This is an impressive patch!
I've been picking up a lot of Chrome relics of former Mountaineer Kevin White. I really like them.
I was kind of wondering if Josh Dobbs would take over the backup job at some point. Now that the Steelers drafted Mason Rudolph and still have Landry Jones who knows.
So many nice Bus relics.
Slash was probably a little ahead of his time. Such a great athlete.
This is an actual game ball and not an "event used" ball.
Connor showed some nice flashes before getting lost for the season with injury.
Hand numbered!
Former XFL superstar!
I always found these type of relics interesting. I miss the creativity. I think that is why I loved Tools of the Trade relic cards so much in baseball.
Troy Edwards turned out to be a pretty big bust. Of course Plax had a really nice career.
This is soooooo cool! I have very little vintage football.
Holy crap Wes! That was a crap ton of Steelers cards. Next up will be baseball and the grand finale.
Thanks for reading!
I agree, Prime Signatures is a sharp looking set! Who is on the vintage card-and is it a Bowman, Leaf or other? (I know nothing about football pre-1970)
ReplyDeleteThink that one was an old Bowman.
DeleteTools of the Trade is very very cool. My favorite from this lot was the Landry Jones towel relic. You don't see that every day!
ReplyDeleteIf only Panini could get away from the "event used" stuff. The towel is definitely unique though. Tools of the Trade was probably a little ahead of the game.
DeleteDid you know Jerome Bettis is from Detroit?
ReplyDeleteYou don't say. Also, Neil Walker is from Pittsburgh
Deletei love vintage football! lots of color in this post!
ReplyDeleteLots of everything. I've actually had to sort this one as I go. If not I don't think I would be able to see my computer.
DeleteCan't imagine what the grand finale might include.
ReplyDeleteIt is truly unimaginable.
DeleteOh man... can't wait to see the grand finale.
ReplyDeleteIt will be fun....Hopefully have it up by the end of the week.
