Nightmare

Take a look at this card.  If you stare too close it will steal your soul.

2015 Goodwin Champions Austin Meadows Auto

I own this card because Austin Meadows autos are not cheap.  He is by far the least represented of the Pirate top prospects in my collection.  He had a good bit of hype out of high school and continues to make his way through the system quickly.  He will likely be the Pirates top prospect next year and possibly a top 20 in all of baseball.  Long story short, beggars can't be choosers.

The card does have the positive of having an on card auto.  Austin also has a very cool signature.  When it was all said in done this card cost me around $3.75.  Cheap enough to look past other issues.

Thanks for reading.

  1. So, just to clarify, staring at this card for too long is like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters, right?

  2. must... look... away...
That sucker has "7th grade self portrait" written all over it. Nevermind the fact that he's got a wiffleball bat made of chalk resting on his shoulder.

    1. I think it may just be a big piece of chalk.

  3. ...or maybe you keep staring at it and it stares back at you until one day Austin Meadows reaches out of the card, grabs you by the wrist and pulls you into the card, leading to a life-and-death battle... and at the end of the episode, we see Austin Meadows holding a Goodwin Champions card with a creepy picture of *you* on it!

...Hey, does anyone have the email address for the producers of American Horror Story?

    1. They weren't even allowed to use the logo of a candy cigarette company.

  6. Meadows man, I know people who've been high on him and investing in his cards since he was in high school (2011). It's nuts.

    1. I never really had a great opportunity to accumulate any. Usually at some point a lull occurs but not with him.

  7. RedCardboard had a ug-fest or something a couple years back and I only remember this because the 2012 Pete Rose Goodwin Champions card still haunts me in my sleep.
